For the past four years, the Sustainable Events Summit (SES) has brought together the most innovative ideas, thinking and practices with the aim of encouraging real action. Now firmly established as the place where corporate brands, agencies, venues and suppliers meet to engage, SES has been supported and attended by many industry partners.

SES 2016 took place Monday 21 November, 30 Euston Square in London and over 100 leading corporate brands, agencies, venues and suppliers met to shape the future of a sustainable events industry.

Summit delegates were:-
• the first to hear the findings of the exclusive SES 2016 Research Project which canvassed over 100 event professionals from global brands about their views on sustainability

• heard the most innovative ideas, thinking and best practice in creating sustainable events from leading brands such as Sky, VM Ware, Delta Lloyd and Anglian Water

• discussed the future of event sustainability with thought leadership debates and discussions

• networked with peers and heard about the latest products and services in the SES exhibition

With the UN sustainability goals and the adoption of the universal climate change agreement from the COP 21 driving the global agenda, the format of SES changed in 2016.

Through a thought-leadership research project and the live Summit, SES highlighted the perceived ‘knowledge gap’ between what the industry is actually doing, and what it still needs to do. Further insights from the report will be presented at International Confex on 1-2 March 2017 in a panel session with industry experts and top brands. In the meantime, the full research report is now available to purchase from this website for £60 + vat.
